If you have Jill (female) ferrets that you need taken out of season, we now offer a Vasectomised Hob for this.

Jills must be taken out of season every time to prevent Aplastic Anemia (more information can be found on the JILLS IN SEASON Page).

If you are not yet neutering your Jill or do not want to use the Jill Jab than you can bring your Jill to us in which she will be put to our experienced Vasectomised Hob for 2 Days. She may then go through a Phantom Pregnancy in which she will go through all the stages of pregnancy but not produce any Kits.

 

This service is £20 each ferret for 1-2 nights. (example: drop of monday morning, collect Tuesday evening or wednesday morning. or drop off monday night, collect wednesday night/Thursday morning). If you require boarding for longer than this than you will be charged normal boarding prices. If you have more than 1 Jill for this service then we will board the extra Jill at no charge while waiting for her time to be put with him as long as they are still collected in the time frame. (for example: 2 Jills will need 4 days so drop of monday morning, collect thursday night/friday morning).

Cash at time of drop off only.

 

Jills may come back into season and will need taking out again. To help prevent this the Jill will need to be put to the Vasectomised hob within 3-6 weeks of the JIll coming into season.

 

Jills must be in good complete health and weight or will be refused.

 

We can not be held Responsible if the Jill does become pregnant as the Vasectomy can reverse itself however this is unlikely. We also can not be held reponsible if the service does not work but this is also unlikely as we use an experienced hob. If this is the case then we will retry the service at no extra cost. No refunds are given.
